Brandy has been a part of the Carroll College staff since 2010, and has served as the Director of Veteran Services at Carroll College for the past 6 ½ years.  In her capacity as the Director of Veteran Services, Brandy was looking for ways to expand Veteran outreach beyond the campus boundaries.  Therefore, she committed to taking on a more active Veteran community focused role and now serves as the President for the Montana Joining Community Forces coalition.  A role she has been filling for the past 3 years.  During this time, and under her leadership, the Montana JCF has hosted four Montana Military Community Provider Symposiums, three Montana Military Community Resource Fairs and Veteran Stand Down’s, three Montana Military Community Appreciation Gala’s, a Montana Fallen Solider Run, and has supported multiple career mini-summits around the state.  Additionally, the Montana JCF has assisted Veterans and their families with car repairs, transportation, and has hosted several outreach events including Thanksgiving dinner baskets for Veterans, service member and their families in need and most recently a Military Family Christmas dinner.  This year the Military Family Christmas dinner was a complete success; over one hundred (100) military community members were treated to a traditional Christmas dinner, complete with gifts and a visit from ‘Ol St. Nick.

In 2015-2016 Brandy served on the Veterans Advisory Committee for Congressman Ryan Zinke.  This committee’s mission was to gather feedback from veterans in all 56 Montana counties to provide advice, information and recommendations to Congressman Zinke as it pertains to both pending and new legislation related to Veterans issues.  In 2016, Brandy received the Impact Montana Individual Service Award and recognition from the Department of Veteran Affairs for her service to Veterans and was instrumental in Carroll Colleges’ designation from U.S. News and World Best Colleges Report, as the Best Regional College in the West for Veterans.

When Brandy is not serving Montana service members, Veterans and their families, she enjoys reading, being outdoors and spending time with her husband Jeff, daughter Kelsey, and bichon Lexy.
